Welcome to The O'Brien Clan Society

"This Website was formed to promote the interests of all O'Briens (O'Briain, O'Brian, O'Briant, O'Breen, O'Bryen, O'Bryon, O'Bryan, O'Bryant, Bryan, Bryant, Bryen, Brian, Brien, Briend, Briens, Brine, Brion, MacBrien, MacBryen, McBrian, McBrien, McBryen and other fine families) who are descended from our progenitor, Brian Boru."

Here you will find information about family research, O'Brien and Irish history, Irish culture, O'Brien and Irish Heraldry and Clan chapters to connect with O'Briens from all over the world.

All of this and more based on fact as recorded throughout Irish history.

Please enjoy the new site, as well as the new content.
THERE IS NO OFFICIAL CLAN O'BRIEN TARTAN... However; since the Chief of the O'Brien Clan has decided to claim the coat of arms of another person and deny his own heritage, then we might as well start using the Clan O'Brien tartan that was developed by Edward O'Brien in Australia.

Learn more about the O'Brien extended families and members of the
'The Dal gCais' here!
